The Department of Mathematics will host the 10th HKUST UG Math Competition
on Saturday, 26 April 2025 from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon at HKUST. The competition consists of the following two categories of written tests:

Junior Competition:
This is restricted to current HKUST first- and second-year undergraduate students. Problems will be drawn from single and multivariable calculus, linear algebra, mathematical analysis, probability, and other sources.

Senior Competition:
This is open to all HKUST undergraduates. Problems can include materials from any undergradate mathematics courses, and other sources.
Both competitions will test ingenuity in mathematics in addition to mathematical knowledge.

The top scorers of each category of tests will receive cash awards in a ceremony to be held on 30 May 2025.
The Department of Mathematics expresses appreciation to Jane Street as a co-sponsor of the competition. As part of their sponsorship, winners will be privileged with an exclusive invitation to join a Jane Street fall student event.
