I am a Professor of Mathematics at HKUST, where I joined as an Assistant Professor in 2015. Before that, I held a two-year postdoctoral position at ENS Paris. I earned my PhD from Michigan State University in 2013.
I am interested in developing mathematical theories and computational methods for applied problems, including but not limited to the following topics:
- Mathematical theory of topological materials and metamaterials, mechanism and fundamental performance limit.
- Mathematical theory of resolution limit from a data/imaging processing point of view, and super-resolution algorithms.
- Theory and algorithms for solving inverse problems combining physics, data processing, and machine learning techniques.
