- Course Description:
- 3 credit units. This is the second part of the one-year honors course on
single-variable calculus, with strong emphasis on mathematical concepts and
logical reasoning skills. It is the continuation of MATH 1023, and will focus on
integral calculus and infinite series.
- Prerequisites:
- Math 1023 or approval by the instructor.
- Textbook:
- Professor Min Yan's book, Calculus.

- Grading Policy: no extra credit.
- Homework: 10%
- Midterm (180 minutes): 40% -- 16 March, 9:30am--12:30pm, TBA.

- Homework Policy
- There will be a
total of (about) 10 weekly Homework, assigned on or before Tuesdays. Each homework is worth 10
points, for a total of 100 points (which count as 10 points toward the total
grades).
- Each homework assigned during the week is DUE
at 5:00pm at the coming Monday (or Tuesday if Monday is a public holiday) in the Math 1024 Mailbox.
- No late homework will be accepted.
- Suggestions to students:
- 0. Learn to be disciplined!
- 1. Come to class on time.
- 2. Attendances are not mandatory but strongly recommended.
- 3. Read the textbook and do exercises before and after classes.
- 4. Turn off cell phones and keep quiet in class.
- 5. If you have to go to bathroom or leave early for some reason,
just go quietly without interrupting others.
