  • Computer project: (You may choose to use any computer language you prefer. Hand in the hardcopy of your report. Meanwhile, you also need to hand in your computer program by e-mail to TA)
  • Use the explicit Euler method to solve the model  heat flow problem defined by (2.7)-(2.9) and (2.24). Repeat the same numerical experiments as shown in Fig. 2.2. page 12. This would help you to understand the effect of stability.
  • Use the implicit Euler method with Thomas algorithm to solve the same problem as above. Repeat the same experiments as before and report on what you observe for the stability effect now.
