- Daily updates
- 1 Spetember:
Welcome to class!
- 29 Spetember:
The midterm exam is 7 October (Saturday), 13:30--15:00. Several things to note:
1. For all L1 students, which are All of you in my class, you will sit in LTB. The floor plan is
here. Each of you has been assigned a unique seat number, so before the exam, remember your seat number and find your seat in LTB and sit
in the seat which is assigned to you. The seat plan is
here. If you find a mistake, please report to me.
2. For multiple choice questions (MC), we will process them by machines. The scantron looks like
this. So once you mark the right answers on the exam papers,
please darken corresponding the bubble in the scantron form. You will need an HB pencil to do that! Just be careful: forgetting or not properly filling in the scantron may result in ZERO
grades in the MC questions!
3. Please arrive at LTB early, say before 13:10pm. Please take your Photo ID, calculator, HB pencil and pen with you. Note that only calculators without matrix function will be
allowed in the exam. We will enforce this rule strictly! You may need some time to find your seat.
4. Please let me know early if you have legitimate time conflict so that you can not take the midterm in the scheduled time. In that case a make-up may be arranged.
- 27 November:
Please find the sample exams from previous years and get some ideas what you mayexpect from the final exam. When you check the sample exams, please
understand that in this final exam, only Derivatives and Integrations will be tested. So you may ignore other problems in the sample exams.
The sample exams can be found in the above Schedule and Lecture notes.
- 08 December:
Greetings! The final exam is TOMORROW, 8:30--11:30am, at S H Ho Sports Hall. Several things to note:
1. Let me emphasis that the final exam is 9 December, 8:30--11:30am, at S H Ho Sports Hall. Please arrive at least 10 minutes early. Do not be late. Tonight you must have a good sleep. Do not stay up late.
Tomorrow you will need as much energy and strength as intellect to go through this strenuous three-hour exam.
2. The floor plan of S H Ho Sports Hall is
here. Each of you has been assigned a unique seat number, in which you shall take your seat during the exam. Please find your seat
here. It is important to remember your seat before the exam so that you can
find it easily.
3. Again for multiple choice questions (MC), there are 18 of them, you will need to fill your answers in a
scantron, and HB pencil must be used in filling the scantron, as you have done during the midterm exam. Note that not properly filling in MC answers in the scantron may result in ZERO grades in the MC questions.
4. Arrive at least 10 minutes early at S H Ho Sports Hall. Bring Photo ID, HB pencil and pen with you. Note that calculators will not be allowed in the exam.
