Job Title: Full-time Lecturer II (two openings)
(Duration: 2 years, renewable)

Duties
The appointees are expected to teach undergraduate courses offered by the Department of Mathematics. Teaching duties will include foundational mathematics courses, such as calculus and linear algebra, as well as courses related to data analytics, statistics, scientific computing, programming, machine learning, and artificial intelligence, depending on the appointee’s background and the Department’s teaching needs. The appointees will also assist in course and curriculum development, advise and mentor students, support project-based and experiential learning activities, organize student-related and outreach activities, and perform any other duties as assigned by the Department Head.

Qualifications
Applicants should have a doctoral degree in mathematics, statistics, data science, computer science, scientific computing, applied mathematics, or a closely related discipline like education. They should possess solid teaching and/or mentoring experience in tertiary education and excellent communication skills. Experience in teaching mathematics courses with computational, data-driven, or AI-related components will be an advantage. The ability to teach both foundational mathematics and applied computational courses is highly desirable.
An initial contract will be for two years and is renewable subject to performance review and mutual agreement. Starting salary and years of appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of the two-year contract.
