Postdocs in Pure Mathematics Area

The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) is a world-class research institution. It is ranked No. 11 in Asia by the QS World University ranking and No. 47 in the world. Located in the beautiful Clear Water Bay area, the HKUST campus has a magnificent ocean view and is widely known as one of the most beautiful campuses in the world. The Department of Mathematics of HKUST is seeking promising early-career researchers for an attractive two-year postdoctoral position in pure mathematics. The possibility of renewal for a third year is subject to satisfactory performance and mutual agreement. The successful candidate will only be required to teach one course during the first two years. Funded by the Glorious Sun Charity Fund, a highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree (by the start of the appointment), with a strong research track record in their respective areas of expertise. They should demonstrate the ability to conduct independent research and have excellent communication skills. An excellent command of written and spoken English is required. Experience in teaching (in English) is a plus.
