Professor LING Shiqing named Fellow of the Journal of Econometrics
Professor Shiqing Ling, Chair Professor of Mathematics, has been named a Fellow of the Journal of Econometrics in recognition of his extraordinary publishing contributions to econometrics. The Journal of Econometrics serves as an outlet for important, high quality, new research in both theoretical and applied econometrics. The scope of the Journal includes papers dealing with identification, estimation, testing, decision, and prediction issues encountered in economic research. Classical Bayesian statistics, experimental design, and machine learning methods are decidedly within the range of the Journal's interests.
National Excellent Young Scientists Fund 2021
Professor Tianling Jin, Associate Professor of Mathematics, was awarded the Excellent Young Scientists Fund (Hong Kong and Macau) for 2021, a prestigious fund administered by the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
Invited Speaker for 2021 SIAM Conference on Mathematical Aspects of Materials Science
LinkProfessor Yang Xiang, Professor of Mathematics, was invited to give a plenary talk at the 2021 SIAM Conference on Mathematical Aspects of Materials Science which was held online on 17-28 May 2021. The title of Prof. Xiang's talk is "Dynamics of Grain Boundaries Based on Underlying Microstructure".
